Blog EntryYoung Berg Says He Doesn't Like Dark ButtsJul 16, '08 9:13 AM
for everyone
Why are people so dumb? And why do we still feel the need to put down our own race? If you like light skin women, fine. Who the freak cares? Why do you have to go on the radio and make ignorant comments? Geez...men like that should were signs on them that say dumbass so all us women can know to stay far, far away from them.

And for anyone who's wondering why I posted this, it's because it angers me. We all have things that anger us. When something makes me mad, I have to speak on it. If you don't like what I have to say, you know what to do.

I definitely agree with having issues with color especially if you are "colored". Everyone has their preference but if it's going to make you look or sound stupid (which I believe this has proven to have done) then perhaps you should save the side show act for friends and family only. I know there are much more important things he could have said other than this. Ok please correct me if i'm wrong but he's not that light himself and excuse me what does he mean dark women darker than him aren't date-able they just don't look good enough. There are women of every hue that are beautiful but it's the simple fact they don't want him. Usually when someone doesn't want "you" "you" find a way of downing them, Ya know? Thanks for posting this Reca. After I read what he said I couldn't bare to hear his voice say it just seems ignorant and I'm not even going to give him that much notice or entertain his stupidity.

His statements not only show his stupidity, not so much for his prejudice against dark complected women, but because his statements alienate the very people (Women of color), who supports and buys his music, ESPECIALLY considering that the content of his latest releases are tailored for womens ears...

Now THAT'S stupidity!!!

You potentially jeapordize whatever music career you had by opening your mouth without thinking...

Sadly, he expresses the mindstate of many men of color theses days; The degregation of our race/culture by the demeaning of our women...

YOU ARE ENTITLED TO YOUR OPINION.BUT I DON'T AGREE WITH YOUR OPINION AND I THINK IF YOU TRAVEL AND MEET DIFFERENT PEOPLE AND EXPERIENCE DIFFERENT CULTURES YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE ARE LIKE THEY ARE

What do you mean? This is no different than Wesley Snipes making his stupid remarks in Ebony about black women or Karl Malone making stupid remarks about black women or Charles Barkley his dumb remarks. It's the same mindset. Whether it's America or Africa the same kind of thinking is at the root of it.

i hate all the comments.. expecially the wesley who is as dark as this background and still denies his mother (which i believe any man does when they talk about black this and that and they are 100% black) but my twin is the same way.. i just don't understand how you can look in the mirrow and denie yourself.. but that is just my opinion..

as a matter of fact.. I PRAISE THE LORD for allowing those to introduce themselves as they do so i don't have to waist time trying to figure them out..

Girl you know I find it funny, after spending my entire life dating interracially it's black men like this that always get upset that I do date interacially. And I'm not even "light-skinned". Just let that go, it's his preference no biggie. No harm, no foul.

I also find particuarly w/ black men (who are dark or at least not light-skinned) they feel this will somehow make them lighter or more acceptable to those that are. Take a page out of my mom's book she always says "take it where it's coming from".

I believe its how he made his statement. He chose a bad choice of words.I dont know who he is, but he is def. cutting in half his choice of dating, even after excluding dark skin women. Maybe darker skin women wouldnt like him Kinda a big statement, he thinks he all that Im white & i prefer brownskin men , being black, hispanic, no shade preference, dark ot light both is attractive to me, depends on the man
